Core Programs & Services

TAOA is a trans-led community-based organization in Kenya dedicated to supporting transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) refugees, asylum seekers, and displaced persons. Founded in 2022 as a support group, we provide holistic services addressing unique challenges faced by TGNC individuals.

Safe Housing

Securing and supporting housing for TGNC individuals, providing refuge from violence and discrimination.

Emergency Aid

Provision of referrals for GBV and IPV cases, emergency supplies, and crisis intervention.

Health Services

Access to culturally sensitive healthcare, including SRHR services and health education initiatives.

Mental Health Support

Counseling, therapy, and peer-led support groups for emotional well-being and resilience.

Leadership Development

Training programs in leadership, advocacy, and vocational skills for TGNC individuals and allies.

Stigma Reduction

Community education campaigns and sensitization workshops to reduce discrimination.
